Using BrisDoc couldn't be easier. If you have a medical problem which cannot wait until normal surgery hours then simply pick up the telephone and call your local surgery.

Some surgeries will automatically transfer you to a BrisDoc Call Handler while others will give you BrisDoc's direct OOH contact number to call.

Once you get through to a Call Handler they will take your details and arrange for a clinician (GP or nurse) to ring you back. BrisDoc doctors and nurses are able to diagnose, treat, prescribe and refer patients with urgent medical needs just like your regular GP.

You may be asked by a clinician to attend one of three locations should you require an appointment: Knowle West Health Park, Bristol Royal Infirmary, Southmead Hospital.

All calls are monitored for your protection and training purposes.

If you do not need to see a doctor i.e. you have a minor injury or illness you may wish to consider attending an NHS Walk-In Centre. There are two in Bristol, one in the Knowle West Health Park and another in Bristol City Centre at City Gate, 33 Broad Street.
