(1) Out of Hours (OOH) cover for
Bristol
BrisDoc provides telephone advice and face to face consultations to patients requiring medical
care during out of hours when GP practices are closed. To access our service please telephone BrisDoc first on
0845 121 0209.
(2) Partnership with Walk-in-Centres (WIC)
at Knowle West Health Park and City Gate
BrisDoc provides GP back-up to assist the nurses in providing patients'
medical needs. This helps to ensure more complex healthcare needs are dealt with at the time. See
Walk-in-Centres.
(3) OOH Call Handling for District Nurses
To assist patients requiring help from their District Nurse Service, BrisDoc provides telephone call handling
during evenings and overnight. BrisDoc will arrange for the 'on-call' District Nurse team to contact you.
(4) Prison Service
BrisDoc provides on call GP medical support during the Out of Hours period for a Category A prison. When
necessary, access to a secure clinical facility is available within the Bristol Royal Infirmary providing a safe
environment for a face to face consultation.
